Food & Drink
The Ferry Inn is a Free House, appearing in the Good Beer Guide '05,
'06 & '07.
During the summer months we offer lunch and evening meals from 12-3pm
and 5-9pm Tuesday and Wednesday, 12-3pm and 5-10pm Thursday and Friday,
12-10pm on Saturday and 11am-8pm on Sundays. Please see the home page
for winter food hours. All of our food is freshly prepared by Pascal,
our resident French Chef. See food & wine for
further details.
We offer an extensive wine list and also have a fine selection of real
ales and lagers, including Theakston's Best, Taylor's Landlord, Deuchars
IPA plus ever changing guests. Lagers include Staropramen on draught
(Hoegaarden to arrive shortly) and an ever expanding range of bottled
lagers.
Letting Rooms
Three rooms are available to let; a double room, an attic double room and a
two bedroomed family suite, all with en-suite facilities. See
letting rooms for further details.
Layout
The interior of the pub is divided into four main areas, three of which are
furnished with real fires.
Externally we have a raised decking area with extensive outdoor seating
to the rear of the pub, allowing access to a large river-side beer garden,
ideal for children and (well behaved) dogs.
Limited car parking is available.
Entertainment
We currently have two 42 inch plasma screens, one in the main bar and
one in the back room, showing various sports events.
Monday night sees the Ferry Inn Quiz - 40 general knowledge questions
with a chance to win vouchers for 8, 6 or 4 drinks, followed by 'cash
for questions' and an opportunity to win the rollover jackpot (the maximum
reached recently was £580.00).
Weekend barbecues and a riverside marquee bar are available during
the summer months (weather and river permitting). In anticipation of
the long awaited smoking ban, we will endeavour to heat and cover the
entire decked rear of the pub. |
